Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for stability in your next job role and are you happy working 4 on 4 off shifts (rotating days and nights)? We are proud to be working with a long-standing manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire) who are seeking a Machine Operator to join them on a straight permanent basis. The starting salary for these roles will range between £35,000 - £36,300 per annum and the working hours are 6am-6pm / 6pm - 6am (4 on 4 off shifts rotating days and nights).

We are looking for people who live within a 25-mile radius of Telford (Shropshire), and the hiring manager is looking for people who have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role. People who have worked in similar job roles such as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Conversion Operator, Rewind Operator, Core Rewinder, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist would be well received.

The company conduct a 2 stage interview process, the first stage would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, with the view to you then being invited to the factory for an on-site interview and full factory tour.

Your Role:

As a core member of the production team, you will ensure our high-speed machinery operates at peak efficiency. You will:

  • Set up and operate high-speed machinery with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Maintain quality standards by conducting regular checks and keeping precise production records.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to exceed daily production targets.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a similar role (e.g., Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Rewind Operator, or Machine Setter).
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the FMCG, Packaging, Food Manufacturing, Print, or Pharmaceutical sectors are highly desirable.
  • Technical Aptitude: Confidence in making minor machine adjustments and performing routine maintenance.
  • Reliability: You live within a 25-mile radius of Telford and are looking for a long-term career move.
