We are currently recruiting for our client at their facility in Tamworth for an experienced Electrical Assembly technician. This exciting role involves wiring and assembly of machinery, including control panel wiring and mechanical assembly/fitting.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Undertake the assembly and manufacture of parts and assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and ready for testing.
- Control panel assembly and wiring.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and finished machines.
- Plastic parts manufacture.
- Finishing and packaging of completed machines.
- Wiring of chambers.
- Testing of chambers using provided instructions.
- Self-inspection of finished items according to defined methodology.
- Improving assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimise waste.
- Ensuring quality work to minimise non-conformities.
- Adhering strictly to provided work instructions and methods.
- Maintaining tidiness, cleanliness, and high standards of housekeeping in own work area and throughout the workshop.
- Training other employees as required.
- Picking and packing of spares orders.
- Any other supportive tasks for production within capability.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Competence in general electro-mechanical assembly or finishing operations.
- Competence in wiring control panel installations to best practice standards.
- Competence in pneumatic installations to best practice standards (training can be provided).
- Competent mechanical fitting skills.
- Skills as defined by a reasonable and achievable future skills matrix.
- Fork truck licence advantageous but not essential.
- Manual handling capability.
