We’re seeking an experienced Head of Product Design to lead innovation, drive design excellence, and develop a high-performing design team within a respected, forward-thinking organisation. The Opportunity
As Head of Product Design, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end product design function—combining creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to deliver high-quality, commercially successful products.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the design and development of innovative, cost-effective products from concept to production
- Shaping future product strategy through creative thinking, research, and concept generation
- Collaborating closely with Marketing, Project Management, and Engineering teams to align priorities
- Managing, mentoring, and developing a skilled product design team
- Overseeing prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure product quality and reliability
- Working with external design consultancies and manufacturing engineers to deliver high-quality mould tooling
What We’re Looking For
This role suits a confident, hands-on design leader with strong technical capability and a passion for developing people. You’ll ideally have:
- A proven track record of successfully designing and launching physical products
- A degree in Product Design, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong experience designing plastic components for injection moulding
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (experience with Siemens NX highly advantageous)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and inspiring design teams
