About the Company
Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as an Engineer. This would suit an electrical or mechanically qualified engineer. The successful candidate will be given full training on our range of machines and become a key member of the Service Team. We would ideally like the Engineer to be based in the Lancashire area.

Job Description
This position is UK based, providing our customers with support on their Mazak machines.
The role includes installing, programming, and supporting with breakdowns of our world class machines.
Reporting to the Service Co-ordinator, the engineer will work across a range of machines including milling and turning centres, 5 axis machines.
This role would ideally suit an Engineer based in the Lancashire area. The role requires the need to regularly work away from home, including travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Basic programme experience (Mazak/Siemens/Heidenhain)
- Understanding of levelling alignments and geometry of machine tools
- Knowledge and understanding of different control systems
- Experienced in the use of Mazatrol controls and the whole Mazak product range
- Professional and customer focused attitude
- A committed, can do attitude
- Flexible, able to work overtime and weekends
- Clean driving licence
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Transferable skills that can be put across several different models of machines
Desirable Criteria
- 5-axis knowledge would be beneficial
- Experience of report writing
