2 x Fabricator Welders needed in Sandbach (Cheshire). Are you an experienced Fabricator Welder, Fabricator or MIG Welder Fabricator looking for a permanent job? Are you happy working a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift Monday to Friday and are you able to get to Sandbach?

We are looking for 2 experienced Fabricator Welders to join a sheet metal fabrication business in Sandbach (Cheshire). For the first 12 weeks, you will train on day shifts (7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm finish Friday), before moving onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern once trained. During the first 12 weeks, you would earn an annual salary between £32,000 - £36,500 per annum (DOE), but once on the rotating shift system you could earn between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum basic. Overtime is regularly available and is paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours. This business also offers a £2,000 new starter incentive bonus which is a staggered payment (£200 after the first month, £800 once you've passed probation and the final £1,000 to be paid after 12 months service).

This will be a one stage interview process, with the hiring manager keen to do first stage interviews and weld tests ASAP.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured, carrying out dimensional inspection prior to welding.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures.
  • Communicate potential risk to quality and efficiency to your team leader.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Follow safety guidelines, carry out safety checks and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Proven experience in fabricating and welding, with a strong understanding of steel structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data accurately.
  • Expertise in MIG/TIG welding techniques, showcasing high-quality craftsmanship.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining production standards.
  • Willingness to perform a weld test as part of the selection process to demonstrate your skills.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
