Multiple Electrical Fitters/Electricians are required for an international Defence and Weapons Systems Company that is expanding their team. Flexible working arrangements are available for these positions and they come with Paid Overtime and also a Shift Allowance if Shifts are Required.

The Electrical Fitters/Electricians will be part of the Electrical Fitting Team and will report to an Electrical Team Leader. They will be involved in the Fitting, Maintenance and Testing of Electrical Systems and Equipment on Military and Defence Platforms. The role offers a good salary and very good company benefits, working alongside many like-minded electrical fitters/electricians and apprentices within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawing and Guidance Technical information.
  • Carrying out Electrical Testing on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems.
  • Executing various crimping and soldering techniques.
  • Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and defect rectification in accordance with project schedules to meet customer quality expectations.
  • Installation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS and AIS.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and defect rectification procedures.
  • Carrying out detailed electrical systems inspections.
  • Be fully conversant in the use of all electrical and technical measuring equipment.
  • Use calibrating measurement electrical systems equipment as required.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Must have completed an electrical trade apprenticeship or naval/marine equivalent qualification.
  • Good understanding of safe systems of work including electrical work.
  • Able to work in confined spaces and at height.
  • Marine or offshore experience with an understanding of electrical systems is an advantage.
  • Potential for some national and international travel in line with role demands.

The successful candidates must satisfy UK security clearance (SC) requirements, including the last 5 years continual UK residency due to the projects and products involved.
