We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support ongoing machine build and electrical installation activities to include machine wiring, installation and some site services projects. Working days with an early finish on Friday this is a 3-month fixed term contract with scope to run on longer and possibly lead to a permanent role. Plenty of overtime available to boost earning.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday Days
Key Responsibilities:
- This role focuses on machine wiring and electrical installation, so we are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on experience in industrial environments coupled with machine maintenance or panel wiring.
- General electrical installation and wiring of industrial machinery.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Planning cable routes in collaboration with electrical and mechanical teams.
- Installation of cable containment systems (tray, conduit, etc.).
- Dressing and termination of cables.
- Installation of junction boxes.
- Point-to-point testing of completed equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Occasional site work and machine installation activities (full driving licence required).
- Ability to assist with general electrical maintenance when required.
- Other skills will include electrical fitter, electrical wirer, electrical installer, machine fitter, machine tool fitter.
Contract Details:
- Initial duration: 3 months, with potential extension to 6 months.
- Possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate.
- Overtime: Regular weekday and potential for weekend overtime £18–£20 per hour plus overtime.
