Deputy General Manager

We are recruiting a Deputy General Manager for a well-established, internationally recognised advanced manufacturing business operating at the forefront of specialist metals and materials production. Supplying critical materials to industries including electric vehicles, renewable energy, advanced electronics and aerospace, the business is experiencing significant growth and investing in expanding its manufacturing capabilities and moving towards 24/7 operations. Deputy General Manager Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire Salary: £80,000 Neg Job Role This is a pivotal senior leadership appointment, offering the opportunity to work closely with the General Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day performance, development and continuous improvement of the site. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager will oversee site operations across Production, Engineering, Quality and associated support functions. You will play a key role in delivering operational excellence, improving manufacturing performance, developing the management team and supporting the company's ambitious growth plans. Key Responsibilities Support the General Manager in developing and delivering the site's operational strategy, annual business plan and budgets. Provide effective leadership across Production, Engineering and Quality. Assume overall site responsibility in the General Manager's absence. Monitor key operational KPIs, including safety, output, yield, cost, delivery and efficiency. Drive improvements in productivity, reliability and operational performance. Lead and support capital investment, expansion and improvement projects. Work closely with Engineering and Projects teams to deliver new plant and equipment through to commissioning.
