We are seeking an experienced Deburrer / Linisher to join our clients manufacturing team. Working within the finishing department, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing a range of precision-engineered metal components to the required quality standards before inspection and dispatch.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in a precision engineering, fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or general manufacturing environment who takes pride in producing high-quality finished components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deburr and finish machined and fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Operate linishing and polishing equipment to achieve the required surface finish.
  • Remove sharp edges, burrs and machining marks while maintaining dimensional integrity.
  • Work from engineering drawings and job instructions where required.
  • Carry out visual inspections to ensure components meet customer quality standards.
  • Use a variety of finishing equipment including hand grinders, orbital sanders, files and abrasive wheels.
  • Ensure components are cleaned, labelled and prepared for the next stage of manufacture.
  • Report any defects, damaged components or quality concerns to the Team Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with 5S and health & safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the finishing department.
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a Deburrer, Linisher, Metal Finisher or Fettler within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience finishing steel, stainless steel or aluminium components.
  • Ability to use a range of hand-held finishing tools safely and effectively.
  • Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
  • Able to read basic engineering drawings (desirable).
  • Experience working to tight tolerances would be advantageous.
  • Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
