What You Will Do:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of prototype parts.
- Negotiate delivery schedules to meet pre-production build requirements and escalate issues where necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support successful prototype build events and ensure all parts are received on time.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring zero build stoppages and point-of-fit losses during prototype builds.
- Organise and oversee shipping collections, ensuring cost-efficient transport modes are utilised.
- Represent the company in supplier meetings, presenting delivery status updates and resolving any identified issues.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in transport planning and managing a portfolio of suppliers during pre-production build phases.
- Experience in supporting production schedules.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in logistics data interpretation and IT tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- A track record of working to KPIs and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Knowledge of GPIRS / CMMS and SAP is advantageous.
