Sub Assembly Operative - Defence Manufacturing Coventry £12.80 per hour + Overtime Available 6-Month Contract with Permanent Opportunities Defence Industry Are you looking for a hands-on role where your work contributes directly to the protection of military personnel and vehicles? We are recruiting Sub Aseemlby Operatives to join a leading defence manufacturer in Coventry, supporting the production of advanced composite armour systems used on military vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly respected defence business, offering full training, long-term career prospects and the chance to secure a permanent position following an initial 6-month contract. The Role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be involved in the assembly and preparation of specialist composite armour products. Duties will include: Sub-assembling composite frameworks used in military vehicle armour systems Preparing, handling and assembling components to engineering drawings and work instructions Sandblasting parts within a controlled work area Bonding, fitting, setting and adjusting prefabricated panels Kitting and preparing materials for production Packing and labelling finished products for dispatch Completing quality checks and production documentation Supporting safe material movement throughout the facility Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety What We're Looking For We are keen to hear from reliable and practical individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing high-quality products. Previous experience within manufacturing, assembly, production, warehousing or engineering environments would be beneficial, however full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates looking to develop new skills.
