What You Will Do

  • Trim cured carbon fibre composite parts accurately to scribe lines and end-of-part component requirements.
  • Fit subcomponents, abrade and prep cured carbon parts properly for bonding.
  • Bond composite components using specified structural adhesives, following project jigs and fixtures to build higher-level assemblies.
  • Work confidently with hand and power tools to achieve tight manufacturing tolerances.
  • Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, process specifications and manufacturing documentation.
  • Complete production records accurately, including time bookings and material traceability details.

What You Will Bring

  • Previous experience working with cured carbon fibre or other advanced composite assemblies, plus trimming and fitting in a technical manufacturing setting.
  • Practical experience using hand and power tools for trimming, routing, drilling, abrading or similar composite fitting activities to tight tolerances.
