CNC Lathe Setter / Operator – 3 axis lathe – Wolverhampton
Rate GBP13.58 – GBP13.95 per hour PAYE + 12.5% Shift (Double Days) + Overtime

What You Will Do:
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathes with precision, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality output.
- Interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings, and tooling sheets to prepare for machining operations.
- Monitor machining processes and make in-process adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Inspect components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges, ensuring they meet exact specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with 5S principles and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Accurately complete documentation, including inspection records, batch cards, and tool life data, ensuring full traceability and compliance with quality standards.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Setter / Operator, ideally with 3-axis CNC lathes.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with FANUC or similar G-code-based controls, with the ability to create or modify programs (if authorised).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
