PI EDS Analyst - (phone number removed) (Product Introduction – Electrical Distribution Systems) Gaydon £28.53 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35 Contract An opportunity has arisen for a BOM Analyst – Engineering Data to join the Technical Product Development function of a major automotive manufacturer at its Gaydon site. Working within the Release Operations team, you will support the construction, validation, release and ongoing maintenance of Bills of Material and associated engineering programme data across multiple vehicle programmes and manufacturing plants. This is a data-focused engineering role, suited to someone who is analytical, highly organised and comfortable working with complex information within a fast-paced automotive environment. The Role As a PI EDS Analyst/BOM Analyst, your responsibilities will include: Completing full and ad-hoc data validation checks in line with programme requirements. Reviewing outputs and analysing data to identify potential issues and inconsistencies. Supporting engineering and programme teams in resolving issues identified through validation activities. Running data extracts and validating outputs for accuracy and completeness. Producing reports using approved and validated engineering data. Validating and freezing programme complexity data at key programme gateways and milestones. Supporting engineering release activities and ensuring data is delivered accurately and to the required quality standards. Managing multiple tasks and priorities within a demanding programme environment. Working collaboratively with engineering, programme and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain data quality. About You We are looking for someone with a strong analytical and methodical approach who can work confidently with complex data and manage multiple priorities. You will ideally have: Previous experience working with Bills of Material, engineering data or product configuration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. The ability to analyse information, identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution. Strong organisational and planning skills. The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team. Good communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly. Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or automotive environment would be advantageous.
