A contract opportunity is available for an Architectural Technician / Product Development Designer to support the delivery of interior wall and partition system projects within a commercial fit-out environment. The role sits within a technical design and delivery function, supporting both live project execution and ongoing product development. The successful candidate will contribute to translating architectural intent into buildable, manufacturable system solutions across multiple project stages. This position requires a detail-focused and practical approach, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Design & Delivery
- Produce AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp drawings
- Develop GA’s, sections, fabrication and installation details
- Translate architectural intent into buildable system solutions
- Produce shop drawings for manufacture and installation
- Product Development Support
- Support development of prefabricated wall and partition systems
- Assist with refinement of system buildability and performance
- Contribute to prototyping, testing and technical documentation
- Support preparation of BOMs and installation information
- Digital Modelling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain 3D models of wall systems
- Produce coordinated outputs from architectural drawings
- Support system configuration using internal tools
- Review production information for accuracy and completeness
- Project Support
- Work alongside project managers and installation teams
- Support technical coordination and design queries
- Assist in resolving buildability and site issues
- Contribute to smooth delivery of live projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp
- Background in construction, fit-out, architectural technology or product design
- Experience with partitioning or glazing systems preferred
- Strong understanding of detailing and buildability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
