What You Will Do
- Lead the design and development of high voltage power supplies and power conversion systems, including analogue and digital control circuits.
- Take projects from customer requirements and concept through detailed design, verification, prototype build, and production introduction.
- Produce and maintain high-quality engineering documentation such as specifications, schematics, calculations, bills of materials, design records, and technical reports.
- Define safe test and validation strategies, oversee commissioning and hands-on testing, and carry out fault-finding on high voltage equipment.
- Provide senior technical leadership across design reviews, risk assessments, hazard analysis, and configuration-controlled design changes.
- Support customer, supplier, and commercial activity with technical input, quotations, investigations, and after-sales support where required.
What You Will Bring
- A degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable senior-level experience taking electronic designs through the full development lifecycle, with strong high voltage power supply or power electronics exposure.
- Proven capability in schematic design, component selection, design calculations, prototype development, test, validation, and introduction to manufacture.
- Confident PCB design and analysis experience using Ki CAD or comparable professional design tools and simulation/analysis relevant to power electronics and transient behaviour.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and readiness to meet personnel security screening requirements for defence-related programmes.
