What You Will Be Doing
We are on a bold mission to deliver an enduring, modern, scalable platform powered by cuttingāedge development practices. Backed by internal investment and full senior leadership support, we are reimagining how we build, deliver, and evolve our products ā and we want a professional, passionate, pragmatic Chief Product Owner to be part of this journey.
As Chief Product Owner, you are a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will own product direction across Jonas Fintech and be accountable for turning customer insight, market reality, and business strategy into products that actually ship. This is a handsāon leadership role. You will work at a senior, strategic level and remain directly involved in the detail ā making decisions, writing requirements and specs, and helping teams get things over the line.
What that means in practice?
- Lead and personally take part in customer discovery, interviews, and feedback
- Translate insight into clear requirements, product specs, and acceptance criteria
- Validate assumptions early and adjust quickly
- Be the product decisionāmaker across all Jonas Fintech business
- Own prioritisation across products and platforms
- Make explicit tradeāoffs between competing pressures
- Take accountability for business outcomes
Operating at SLT level, you will work closely with:
- CEO ā setting and executing product strategy
- CRO ā shaping propositions that generate revenue and market fit
- CTO ā working through design choices, technical constraints, and sequencing
- COO ā ensuring what we build can be operated and supported at scale
- Head of Compliance ā embedding regulatory (FCA) and scheme requirements (Direct Debit, Bacs) into product design
- Head of Payment Operations ā supporting better, quicker reconciliation
