THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Midweight Digital Designer to join our fun, fast-paced and collaborative team where your creativity and design skills will truly shine.

You will make an impact by working with the wider Digital Design team to deliver pixel perfect assets on time and to brief. You will understand branding and campaigns for ecommerce environments, considering the customer journey and engagement at different online touch points. You will take responsibility for delivering artwork for use across various channels including emails, websites, social and affiliate marketing. If creative content is ever required, you would be the person on speed dial.

You will be based at our Head Office in Banbury with the freedom to work from home two days a week on average, this may flex up or down dependant on business needs. During you're induction period, you will be encouraged to come in to our Banbury Head Office every day.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Delivering creative and considered artwork for all digital outputs

  • Creating assets for web, emails, social channels, affiliate marketing and a variety of online features and articles, with an understanding and awareness of optimising content for site performance across all devices

  • Working with the UX Designer and Ecom Team to design content pages in Figma

  • Creating engaging and interactive animations across all digital channels using Adobe After Effects

  • Remaining organised and proactive, support the marketing team and wider digital design team in meeting deadlines with efficiency whilst maintaining high standards

  • Adapting designs across different formats with an eye for maintaining the design aesthetic across a variety of resolutions/dimensions whilst adhering to brand guidelines

  • Producing elegant, accurate and legible typography, ensuring type complements the imagery required

  • Demonstrating strong UX/UI and design thinking for all digital channels

  • Considering mobile first solutions, budget restrictions; CMS restrictions and time constraints when managing your design tasks

  • Actively contributing to team ideation sessions and working collaboratively across teams to ensure all deliverables are high- quality, on-brand, aligned with the brief and completed with the deadline.

  • Communicating effectively and confidently present your ideas to senior management, while embracing feedback and making amends accordingly.

  • Supporting the maintenance of the department asset filing using Dropbox.

  • Retouching imagery (removal of imperfections, extending backgrounds) and capable of efficiently briefing the Retouch team on anything else required

  • Helping create templates for upcoming campaigns and season launches.

  • Displaying excellent time management and organisation skills with proficiency in managing workflows using Monday.com

  • Managing and updating CC Libraries in Adobe Photoshop for the team

  • Supporting the Senior Digital Designer with day-to-day tasks.

  • Training and mentoring Junior members of the team

  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Company

THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proven experience in designing digital assets within a similar industry

  • Proficient in Adobe creative suite in particular Photoshop and After Effects

  • Basic knowledge of Figma is essential (working with prototypes and existing wireframes alongside the UX Designer)

  • Proven experience designing for digital assets with an eye for detail, and an understanding of layout, typography and good retouching skills

  • Knowledge of best practice for mobile ecommerce

  • Experience of working in a busy design department with marketing communications, design company or equivalent

  • Customer focused with a keen eye for imagery and photography

  • Understanding of web design and performance

  • Creative flair, well organised, self-motivated and has a meticulous attention to detail coupled with a professional and collaborative demeanour

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Able to prioritise a large workload and balance multiple projects during busy periods.
