We have an exciting opportunity to join the eCommerce team here at Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton in a brand-new role as Ecommerce Development Manager. In this position you will take ownership and accountability for the data, maintenance, development and testing for each of our online businesses. Working within the eCommerce team you will be responsible for managing our data on a day-to-day basis as well as the ongoing development of multiple Magento 2 websites via our 3rd party development agency. You will be responsible for managing the eCommerce administration team and will work directly with our Head of eCommerce and Website Trade Managers to guarantee data integrity, manage integrations, deliver ongoing maintenance and project developments on time, to specification and within budget. This is a demanding role in a very fast-paced environment, so being someone who is adaptable and embraces change will be a key to success. The successful applicant will be obsessed with details and relentless in their mission to deliver best in class website developments for our customers to use and enjoy. The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You will enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Managing web development agencies or individual developers, with the ability to drive front and back-end web development dialogue – Ideally in a Magento 2 (M2) environment
- Managing day to day BAU website updates via Jira boards, prioritising work, liaising with internal stakeholders and external developers
- Creating Scope of Project (SOP) briefing documentation for larger projects, ensuring all stakeholder considerations and business objectives are being addressed and that budgets and milestones are agreed upon and adhered to
- Developing project planning, management and delivery using the methodology of your choice
- Using your extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience. Building comprehensive testing boards to get new developments signed off. Experience in testing automation would be advantageous
- Managing Magento upgrades, both security patches and full releases
- Website data management via bulk CSV upload
THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING
- A minimum of three years’ experience within a similar role
- Proven experience in managing website developments, ideally with Magento 2, across both front and back-end perspectives
- Excellent eCommerce and Development management
- A proven track record of delivering digital projects
- Successfully managed 3rd party agencies or developers
- Excellent awareness of development methodologies
- Proven ability of managing an M2 catalogue by means of CSV
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building skills and the ability to influence
- A self-starter, able to work autonomously and within teams when necessary
- Accountable by nature with the desire to make an impact. Keen to take ownership in a role with confidence and enthusiasm
- Positive and meticulous team player and a confident communicator
- Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Magento
- Although not essential, knowledge of Jira, GTM, Google Analytics & DataStudio, Netsuite, UI/UX testing and AWS would make you stand out from the crowd as would a strong appreciation of JavaScript, HTML and web development languages such as PHP
