We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic creative team at Katie Loxton. As part of our wonderfully talented Product Design team, you will be designing standout gifting products and lifestyle accessories that will be cherished by customers across wholesale and retail channels. You will make an impact by bringing stories to life through every collection, creating pieces that feel personal, thoughtful, and unforgettable. From initial concept to final delivery, your designs will help shape our seasonal collections, influence the broader product vision, and inspire our creative teams.
With a strong commercial mindset balanced by emerging trends and creativity, you will play a pivotal role in defining each season’s direction and bringing our product vision to life. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior designers, helping them grow while ensuring every piece we create embodies the high-quality, affordable-luxury look and feel our customers love.
The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You’ll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. This may increase to 5 days a week during peak periods such as during sign off periods.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Assisting in driving the brand forward through creative product design, supporting the Katie Loxton aesthetic.
- Supporting the creation of visuals, artwork, and accurate technical specification sheets across product and packaging.
- Helping maintain product decks, range plans, product codes, pricing, and visuals.
- Contributing ideas for creative product solutions and support the team in overcoming design challenges.
- Supporting the sample process, checking quality and ensuring products meet brand standards.
- Assisting with the end-to-end delivery of products, including specifications, packaging, tags, care labels, POS, and sample checks.
- Ensuring meticulous attention to detail and accuracy across all outputs.
- Tracking project progress and provide updates to designers, supporting timely delivery against seasonal deadlines.
- Maintaining critical paths, product codes, colour references, and documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Helping prepare for key meetings, organising samples and maintaining a high standard in the product development space.
- Working closely with Product Designers, Senior Designers, and cross-functional teams (Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, E-commerce, Wholesale) to support project delivery.
- Communicating progress clearly, raise queries proactively, and elevate issues to meet deadlines.
- Providing insights on competitors, trends, and product innovations to inform the design team.
- Leading the development of gifting and lifestyle products, ensuring collections are commercially strong, on-brand, and aligned with our affordable luxury positioning.
- Shaping the creative direction and product vision for seasonal collections across all channels.
- Support the creation of initial concepts, colour palettes, and campaign ideas, ensuring cohesion across the wider Katie Loxton collection.
- Confidently presenting creative concepts to senior stakeholders and clearly communicate final collections to wider teams.
- Maintaining proactive communication with suppliers to ensure alignment on product vision, timelines, and quality standards.
- Line managing Product Designers and Design Assistants, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Conducting performance reviews and development conversations.
- Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, sharing best practice and expertise.
Qualifications
- A design qualification in fashion or product design and senior-level experience delivering products from concept to production.
- A strong, concept-driven portfolio that reflects brand values, commercial objectives, and high-quality execution.
- Experience line managing or mentoring midweight/junior designers and delivering projects on time.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Knowledge of packaging design, typography, retail products, accessories, and gifting trends.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.
- Exceptional visual communication, attention to detail, and brand consistency.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
