We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Junior Buyer to help shape our beautiful seasonal product ranges for our Katie Loxton brand. This role blends creativity with commercial thinking, supporting our mission to bring thoughtfully designed, trend‑led gifting, accessories and lifestyle products to our global customers. Our Buying team works hard behind the brands to create inspiring collections that delight our customers and reflect our brand’s signature style. We partner closely with our internal talented Product Design and Merchandising teams as well as our trusted external suppliers to bring new products to life always with quality, innovation, and personalisation at the heart of everything we do.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Driving category and product strategies, ensuring processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals.
- Shaping seasonal ranges by spotting market opportunities, proposing creative ideas, and collaborating with Design to develop product briefs.
- Negotiating costs and managing suppliers to achieve margin targets, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Overseeing product sampling, approvals, and quality compliance to meet critical path deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Managing accurate buying documentation, data sharing, and process improvements to support informed, efficient decisions.
- Collaborating across PR, Marketing, Creative, Web, VM, and Retail Ops to communicate product information clearly and consistently.
- Monitoring trends, competitor activity, and sales insights to inform pricing, sourcing, and product strategy.
- Coaching and supporting junior team members, promoting a positive, safe, and high‑performing working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently working at experienced/senior assistant buyer or junior buyer level within similar role within a retail or fashion environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and trend insight within fashion/lifestyle markets.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Confident negotiator and communicator.
- Agile, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Confident presenting ideas to stakeholders across departments.
- Proactive team player with a desire to take ownership and drive results.
- Solid knowledge of buying cycles and critical path management.
- Excellent experience with supplier base management and cost negotiations is desirable.
