Are you an experienced IT and Systems leader who thrives on keeping technology running smoothly while looking for ways to make it even better? Do you have a strong understanding of IT operations, business systems, infrastructure and cyber security, with the technical expertise to shape solutions that support a fast-growing business?
As Senior IT & Systems Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our technology estate secure, reliable and ready for what’s next. You’ll lead the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure and business systems, while also getting involved in technical delivery, integrations, architecture and continuous improvement.
You’ll make an impact by keeping our technology services running reliably, solving complex technical challenges, improving the systems our teams rely on every day and helping shape the technology landscape that will support our next stage of growth. Working closely with the Head of Systems, you’ll turn business needs into practical technology solutions, provide technical direction and help deliver systems that enable our brands to thrive.
You’ll also lead and develop our Business Systems Manager and Junior IT Analyst, creating a collaborative and solutions-focused IT function while acting as a senior escalation point for operational IT and systems matters.

The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You'll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. This may increase to 5 days a week during peak periods.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Leading the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure, hardware, devices, connectivity, Microsoft 365 and core technology platforms.
- Keeping our technology services stable, secure and reliable, quickly resolving issues and minimising disruption across the business.
- Acting as the senior escalation point for operational IT, systems and technology issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
- Supporting and administering key business systems across ERP, warehouse, ecommerce, reporting and operational platforms.
- Spotting recurring issues, getting to the root cause and introducing improvements that make our systems more reliable and our teams’ experience even better.
- Delivering technical projects, integrations and system improvements from testing and deployment through to documentation and handover.
- Providing technical challenge and practical feasibility advice on new systems, technology changes and initiatives led by the Head of Systems.
- Shaping and maintaining our technical architecture and integration principles, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and fit for the future.
- Overseeing integrations, APIs, data flows and automation across our core business systems, working closely with internal teams and third-party providers.
- Providing technical oversight across SQL, Power Platform, integrations and other solutions supporting our business systems and reporting.
- Supporting our cyber security operations, including access controls, permissions, security settings, vulnerability remediation and technical controls.
- Helping maintain strong business continuity, disaster recovery and operational resilience from a technical perspective.
- Leading, coaching and developing the Business Systems Manager and Junior IT Analyst, creating a supportive team environment where technical knowledge is shared and people can grow.
- Managing operational workload, service performance and third-party technology partners, ensuring we deliver a responsive and effective service across the business.
- Keeping technical documentation, processes and knowledge sharing up to date, helping us build a consistent and scalable IT function.
THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING
- Strong experience across IT operations, infrastructure, systems support and technical service delivery.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, devices, connectivity and core technology platforms within a busy business environment.
- A strong understanding of business systems such as ERP, WMS, ecommerce, reporting and operational platforms.
- Technical architecture and solution design experience, with a good understanding of integrations, APIs, data flows and system dependencies.
- Hands-on experience delivering integrations, configurations, testing, deployments and technical improvements.
- Good knowledge of cyber security administration, access management, vulnerability remediation and technical controls.
- A solid understanding of IT service management, including incident, problem, change and service management.
- Experience leading and developing technical or systems teams, with a genuine interest in coaching others and building capability.
- Experience managing third-party technology suppliers and service providers, with the confidence to challenge and manage delivery where needed.
- A strong awareness of technology risk, cyber security, resilience and operational controls.
- The ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, practical language that makes sense to non-technical teams.
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the confidence to get stuck in and find solutions.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to balance operational priorities with longer-term technical improvements.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams, making technology feel accessible and enabling rather than complicated.
