Our client is a well-established and highly regarded designer jeweller in the Southwest, renowned for crafting stunning bespoke pieces. JOB ROLE: The client is seeking an experienced, full-time setter to join their skilled team at their main workshop, based in their Bath City store. The successful candidate will be an essential part of a dedicated team of jewellers, and will be tasked with delivering top-quality setting work across a wide range of jewellery pieces. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting all styles of jewellery, including micro-setting, prong (or claw), bezel, channel, pave, tension, and flush settings, ensuring exceptional standards of craftsmanship.
  • Collaborating closely with the workshop manager and the goldsmithing team to ensure that each piece is completed to the highest standard and meets customer expectations.
  • Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and working efficiently under pressure.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail, ensuring every piece of jewellery is set with precision and care.
  • Ensuring excellent communication with the team to ensure a smooth workflow and successful delivery of orders.

REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in jewellery setting, including proficiency with a variety of techniques such as micro-setting, prong, bezel, and channel settings.
  • Confidence in managing and prioritising your work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
  • An exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality craftsmanship.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment and maintain high standards under pressure.
  • A passion for jewellery making and an interest in creating unique, bespoke designs.

The role is full-time, working Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5.30 PM (40-hour week).
