The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

JOB ROLE:
  • Reporting to the company Directors, this role can be summarised as a balance between leadership and strategic innovation. You will be responsible for a small, supportive team (both freelance and in-house), guiding digital marketers to achieve optimal outcomes from the various challenges they are given ownership of.
  • Additionally, your role will focus on reviewing, evolving, and implementing new marketing initiatives tailored to suit the different markets, products, and target consumers.
  • Our client seeks a hands-on individual who understands the importance of return on investment and can justify blue-sky thinking by delivering tangible results.
  • The role will require travel, with the expectation of two days a week spent visiting brand recipients, suppliers, and retail locations. Therefore, a readiness to travel from your home base in either London or the South Coast is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • We are looking for an all-rounder, a highly capable Marketing Lead who thrives on challenges.
  • Working closely with Department Heads in Data, E-Commerce, and various Sales Leaders, you must be able to identify the specific route-to-market challenges and propose marketing solutions that are both innovative and executable.
  • Your responsibilities will include overseeing various areas of current focus, such as working with influencers, creating relevant copy and content for social media, and organising marketing collateral for trade use (whether for exhibitions or point-of-sale in retail).
  • Attention to detail is key, as you will be analysing the value of investments made by your supporting team, and you should be technologically savvy, whether using Google Analytics or working with trading platforms like Shopify.
  • You should have a strong passion for effective email marketing and the ability to lead a cohesive and consistent graphics strategy across each market area. The client’s products lend themselves well to storytelling, so experience with photography and videography would be an asset.
  • Ideally, your career will have encompassed many of the areas highlighted, enabling you to advise, direct, and monitor your team’s outputs. Where necessary, you will provide constructive feedback and add productivity value to each team member’s role.
SUMMARY:

This role’s appeal lies in the significant impact your Marketing Leadership can have on the wider commercial team. There are new areas that the business has yet to explore, and as the appointed individual, you could be the one to break new ground.
