Requirements:

  • Carrying out domestic electrical calculations manually
  • Managing load balancing across household circuits and consumer units
  • Sizing battery storage and backup systems for homes
  • Completing job sheets, site notes, and maintenance logs
  • Producing inspection certificates and compliance documentation
  • Fault finding under pressure on live domestic systems
  • Switching between spreadsheets, calculators, and paperwork

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Domestic load analysis and circuit balancing
  • Phase balance checks across distribution boards
  • Cable sizing for residential installations
  • Earthing and bonding verification checks
  • Lighting design and lux level checks for compliance
  • Fault finding, testing, and diagnostics
  • Inspection & testing reports
  • Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC)
  • Condition reporting (EICR support)
  • Daily site logs and job tracking
