The role
You’ll be setting and operating CNC lathes - producing quality components to drawing. You’ll be trusted to modify programmes, manage tool changes and offsets, and take ownership of your own quality checks. It’s hands-on, varied work in a facility that invests in doing things properly.
What you’ll be doing
- Set and operate CNC lathes across a range of materials and tolerances
- Modify programmes and carry out tool changes and offsets
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and route cards
- Conduct first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks
- Contribute to TPM, 6S, SMED and lean activities on the shop floor
- Maintain accurate production records, labels, and logs
- Highlight improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with the team
What you’ll bring
