As a Press Brake Operative, you will work on high-quality, bespoke projects in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. We are recruiting for Press Brake Operatives at both our sites - Anglesey and Liverpool. Our supportive team values your craftsmanship and offers ongoing training and progression opportunities.

Location: Anglesey

Shifts:

  • Days: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30, Fri 07:00–12:30
  • Afternoons: Mon–Thu 16:30–01:00, Fri 12:30–18:00
  • Nights: Future 3-shift pattern may be introduced – flexibility required.

What You Will Be Doing as the Press Brake Operative:

  • Programming & Operating: Setting up and running Trumpf 4-metre press brakes handling materials from 1mm to 6mm.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Producing detailed multi-fold programmes from engineering drawings.
  • Quality Focused: Responsible for the quality, quantity, and inspection of every component.
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhancing existing CNC programs.
  • Tool & Machine Management: Selecting correct punches, dies, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
  • Problem Solving: Applying innovative methods to fabricate bespoke parts without step-by-step instructions.

About the Press Brake Operative: We are looking for a time-served operative with:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Press Brake Operative programming, setting, and operating press brakes in a manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds/ONC or equivalent in relevant engineering or fabrication disciplines.
  • Experience with Trumpf controls (others such as Amada, LVD, Bistronic, Edward Pearson are transferable).
  • Strong ability to analyse drawings, set up machines, and ensure high-quality outputs.
