We are hiring a Painter/Sprayer to support the continued growth of our manufacturing operations here at Joloda Hydraroll in Gaerwen. With a competitive hourly rate, paid overtime, and late shift hours, this is a great opportunity to join a respected UK engineering business known for high-quality design and production.
Based in our large, modern spray booth facility, this permanent, full-time role is ideal for someone with hands-on spraying experience and a background in industrial or commercial painting. With future progression into night shifts as operations expand, we are looking for someone who is reliable, skilled, and flexible.
Why Join Joloda Hydraroll?- Hourly Rate: £17.91 - £19.19 inclusive of shift allowance depending on experience
- Overtime: Available, paid at enhanced rates
- Shift Pattern: Late Shift – Mon to Thurs, 16:30–01:00 | Fri, 12:30–18:00
- Location: Lon Groes, Gaerwen, LL60 6BH (on-site)
- Holidays: 24 days + bank holidays (rising to 27 with service)
- Benefits: PPE provided, company pension, secure full-time hours, and opportunity to move onto night shift as the site continues to grow
As a Painter/Sprayer at Joloda Hydraroll, you will:
- Spray large-scale industrial metal components (up to 20m) using spray guns and paint pots
- Apply water-based paints to mild, galvanised and stainless steel and aluminium frames, typically for conveyor and material movement systems
- Operate within a modern, well-ventilated spray booth alongside a team of experienced painters
- Carry out surface preparation, priming, top-coating, and final finish work to a high standard
- Follow paint specifications and ensure accurate, consistent coverage across parts
- Support flexibility across shifts as the business introduces night operations in the near future
- 3–5 years' experience in a spray-painting role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proven experience using manual spray equipment with water-based paints
- Comfortable spraying large, heavy-duty fabricated parts
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings or specs
- Flexible attitude with willingness to transition into night shift in future
