We’re growing our engineering team at Joloda Hydraroll and are looking for Electrical Installation Engineers to support our continued expansion across the UK and internationally. The Role: As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing conveyor systems and control panels on customer sites and at Joloda facilities. You’ll read electrical schematics, run cables, mount sensors, and ensure systems are fully tested and functional. You’ll need to be confident working with tools, wiring, containment, and diagnostics, and have a flexible approach to travel. Typical installation projects range from 1 to 6 weeks in duration, with occasional international trips.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install new conveyor systems including cable basket mounting, sensor placement, and wiring
- Assemble and modify control panels to meet project specs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical layouts
- Carry out diagnostics, electrical testing, and fault finding
- Travel to customer sites (mostly UK-based, with occasional international projects)
- Complete reports and handovers, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
- Collaborate with engineering teams and represent Joloda positively onsite
What We’re Looking For:
- Background in electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in electrical installation and/or panel wiring
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
- Competent with cable containment, wiring, crimping and hand tools
- Comfortable with UK-wide travel and occasional overseas trips
- 18th Edition or similar electrical qualifications is desirable.
