The Role – Store Manager
- Lead by example, fostering an excellent culture aligned to values: Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, Together.
- Fully responsible for store operations: people KPIs, store standards, customer service standards, financial performance.
- Maximise turnover, gross margin and control costs.
- Deliver highest pet care standards; welfare of pets a top priority, responsible ownership promotion.
- Exceptional customer service: great shopping experience, strong pet & product knowledge (training given).
- Recruit, motivate, train, develop your team; review & manage performance; promote Jollyes as an employer of choice locally.
- Communicate key business updates, objectives to team and individuals.
The Skills & Experience
- Passion for pets & people; delight customers with unrivalled experience.
- Retail store management experience, hands‑on daily management, long‑term planning.
- Sound decision maker, effective communication, team building, succession planning.
- Proven track record in business performance, exceeding KPIs, high store standards, health & safety, legal compliance.
- Commercially aware; P&L management, proactive approach.
- UK driving licence, own transport for out‑of‑hours cover.
Full time, permanent – 40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7.
