Support the Store Manager day-to-day and take full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store in their absence. Managing people, financial performance, store standards, customer service. Ensuring you and your team are delivering exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying strong pet product knowledge. Delivering the highest standards of pet care and ensuring that the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership.
To be successful in this role, joining as a Deputy Manager you'll need the following skills and experience:
- A passion for pets and people, delighting customers with an unrivalled shopping experience.
- Previous retail management experience, with deputising for the Store Manager and taking a hands-on approach to managing the business daily.
- A team player capable of communicating effectively and building high-performing, highly engaged teams.
- Proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, whilst delivering the highest levels of store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
- Commercially aware with proactive planning and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel to other stores in the region, own transport and a UK driving licence.
Full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Salary £26,000 – £28,500 p.a. plus bonus potential £1-5k p.a. (subject to reaching pre-agreed measures). Supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, team management, store standards, stock management and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents. This role is part of a growing team at an award-winning pet retailer with over 100 stores and a deep commitment to sustainability and community.
