Join Jollyes Pets as a Retail Store Manager in York - Monks Cross Retail Park. The salary is £27,011 - 30,322 p.a. + bonus potential of £2-10k p.a. Managing the daily operations of the store, including team management, store standards, stock management, and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents.

The Role – Store Manager:
Reporting to your Regional Manager you will lead by example creating an excellent culture and working environment for your team, demonstrating our values of being: Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, Together. You will have full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store. Managing KPIs around people, store standards, customer service standards and financial performance, maximising both turnover and gross margin along with control of costs.
Ensure you and your team are delivering the highest standards of pet care and ensure that the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership. Exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying both strong pet and product knowledge.
Responsible for recruiting, motivating, training and developing your team, reviewing and managing performance. Ensuring clear communication of key business updates and individual and team objectives.
The Skills:
- A passion for pets and people! Delighting your customers by ensuring an unrivalled shopping experience.
- Previous retail store management experience, where you have taken a hands-on approach to managing the business on a daily basis and planned activity for the store's short, medium and long term success.
- A sound decision maker, able to communicate objectives effectively and build high performing and highly engaged teams, ensuring succession plans are in place to develop your future leaders.
- Able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, whilst also delivering the highest levels of store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
- You should be commercially aware, able to manage your P&L and have a proactive approach.
Full time, permanent position - 40 hours per week working 5 days out of 7. Jollyes are an award-winning UK pet retailer with over 100 stores and over 50 years of pet expertise between our paws.
