Kitchen and Sales Assistant

Purpose of the Role To support the efficient day-to-day running of the Jollof Junction kitchen by assisting with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and stock management. The role holder will also provide occasional support with front-of-house sales activities, including serving customers, handling orders, and assisting with takeaway packaging during busy periods. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Production Assist with the preparation and cooking of West African dishes including jollof rice, suya, egusi, pounded yam, and assorted swallow. Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients to required standards in advance of service. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including deep fryers, grills, steamers, and blenders. Monitor cooking processes, adjusting temperatures and timings as directed by the Head Chef. Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and labelled in accordance with food safety regulations (HACCP principles).
