This role is ideal for someone who understands both creative aesthetics and real-world production constraints, and who can confidently translate ideas into production-ready designs. You’ll work closely with the Founder & Creative Director to design physical beauty products from concept through to manufacture. This includes packaging, components, and product visuals, with a strong focus on execution, detail, and commercial viability. This is a freelance role with flexible hours, paid per project or day rate depending on scope.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts from moodboards and creative direction through to final artwork
  • Prepare production-ready files for manufacturers (dielines, specs, finishes)
  • Create mockups, renders, and visual presentations for internal review and partners
  • Liaise with manufacturers where needed to adapt designs for feasibility and cost
  • Maintain consistency with brand identity across all products
  • Support limited edition and licensed collaborations
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and timelines
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in product and/or packaging design, ideally within beauty or fashion
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (3D or rendering tools a bonus)
  • Solid understanding of print finishes, materials, and production processes
  • Experience working with manufacturers and understanding technical constraints
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and refining designs efficiently
Nice to Have
  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, or luxury packaging
  • Familiarity with compliance-led packaging (labels, ingredient panels, barcodes)
  • Understanding of alternative, gothic, or subculture-driven branding
  • Experience with licensed or collaborative collections
What We Offer
  • Ongoing freelance work with a growing international brand
  • Creative freedom within strong brand direction
  • Flexible working and remote collaboration
