Your role in the JoJo story… Are you passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences and shaping a workplace culture that people love to be part of? If you’re ready to play a key role in the growth of JoJo, this could be just the adventure for you! We’re looking for a People Business Partner – or HRBP as you may know it - to join us on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. You’ll step into a key management role at a time of transformation, helping to shape our people experience and people relations agenda. Working closely with our Head of People, you’ll lead on key people projects - from organisation change to employee engagement – helping to ensure JoJo continues to be a place where our teams feel proud to be part of. You’ll also support our managers in creating inclusive, high performing teams and ensure our people practices reflect the very best of who we are. You’ll lead a talented team of people specialists, supporting their development and delivery as they help bring our people strategy to life.

- Leading people experience initiatives that bring our values to life and support a positive, inclusive culture.
- Supporting managers to develop leadership behaviours that embrace high performance, kindness and belonging.
- Owning the engagement survey process and making sure we turn insights into action.
- Championing wellbeing across the business and driving forward recognition, feedback and inclusion strategies.
- Overseeing employee relations matters to ensure consistency, fairness and compliance with UK and EU employment law.
- Using people data and insight to track success and continuously improve how we support our people.
- Collaborating with our L&D team to deliver people management training and embed best practice.
- Partnering with the Head of People and business leaders on change projects to keep JoJo agile and aligned to our strategy.
- Supporting workforce planning, internal mobility and succession strategies in collaboration with our People Business Partner – Talent, Reward & Systems.
- Working with our Risk & Compliance team to make sure our workspaces are inclusive, safe and support wellbeing.
- Leading, mentoring and empowering your direct reports to help them grow, develop and deliver on key people priorities.
- Supporting broader people transformation projects and helping to shape the future of how we work at JoJo.
Skills that make you shine:
- Proven experience in a HR role at a similar level, ideally with a focus on employee relations, change management and employee experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, GDPR and handling ER casework with confidence.
- Experience in managing organisational change.
- A passion for employee experience, wellbeing and inclusive culture.
- Comfortable managing stakeholders and influencing across all levels.
- Ability to work independently and confidence to make decisions.
- Adaptable and resilient in a changing, agile environment.
- Team management experience, with a focus on people development and training.
- Ability to think strategically and engage our people to create change.
- The ability to travel as you’ll be part of our people team who are also based in Newport and London.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills to create confidence and grow great leadership.
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience) is a bonus.
