Customer Advisor – 16.5 hours at JoJo Maman Bébé

Join the JoJo story as the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer care and service across our clothing and products for families. You will guide, inform and assist customers in their purchases, from maternity wear to baby products, and support omni-channel orders as we move into a digital retail world.

Our stores vary in layout and character, but all share a commitment to our values and to upholding B Corp principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in diverse situations, including maternity wear and baby products, and demonstrate products where appropriate.
  • Prepare and manage Omni-Channel orders, liaising with customers in-store and by phone.
  • Use digital or virtual learning platforms to continuously develop product knowledge and retail skills.
  • Keep the store looking immaculate and maintain high visual standards.
  • Listen to customer needs and determine the best solutions, focusing on empathy and active listening rather than hard selling.
  • Be flexible with hours to meet store requirements; typical week is 16.5 hours (1 x 6 hours and 1 x 4.5 hours) with some flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, customer service and sales experience.
  • Competent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to learn and retain high-quality product information and communicate it effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a curiosity to learn new products independently.
  • Strong listening, empathy and customer needs understanding; comfortable with a non-pushy sales approach.
  • Ability to work well in a small team and maintain a respectful, harmonious working environment.
  • Flexibility to work across a retail environment open seven days a week.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to store upkeep and standards.

Typical Schedule

16.5 hours per week (1 x 6 hours & 1 x 4.5 hours) with flexibility according to store requirements.
