We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Associate to cover for maternity. The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and reporting. This role is essential in assisting with monthly financial analyses and maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Role Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices & staff expenses
- Raising and managing purchase orders within Sage
- Responding to supplier queries
- Supplier payments & issuing of remittances
- Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing assigned schedules, reviewing data and providing insight, and helping maintain an organised close timeline
- Work closely with the finance team to complete year-end close tasks and contribute to reconciliation work
- Ensuring compliance with company policy & financial regulations
- Champion quality compliance within the Finance team and ensure best practices and processes are being adhered to
- Contribute to documenting financial workflows by preparing drafts, suggesting revisions and recording changes
- Contribute to finance process improvements and champion change
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports with insights, ensuring that supporting data is accurate
- Performance of general accounting administrative duties
- Agree on priorities and standards with Senior Finance Manager and VP Finance
Required Job Skills
- Previous experience working within a finance team
- Knowledge of Sage 200 ideal, knowledge of Sage software a requirement
- Knowledge of the Sicon module within Sage 200 beneficial
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication
