We warmly welcome your interest in the role of RE Advisor for our Joint Education Team which supports our Church of England schools across the Dioceses of Durham and Newcastle. Church Schools are at the heart of the Church of England's mission and our aim is to ensure that outstanding education is provided, and to foster high quality engagement with young people in schools and parishes across the dioceses.
The principal task of the RE Advisor is to support schools and trusts to fulfil the mission of delivering high-quality RE education for those of all faiths and of none. Our experienced and skilled education team work closely to support our 106 church schools across 10 local authorities, which are a mix of voluntary aided, voluntary controlled and academies, some of which are in Multi-Academy Trusts.
We know that schools face many challenges today, especially with finances and recruitment and the ever changing landscape in education. We are committed to fulfilling our mission - to support the development of our church schools - and are looking for an RE Advisor to join our amazing team, someone who is excited about the opportunities ahead, who can build on the work done so far, but who is not daunted by the challenges that education faces today and the changes planned in the RE curriculum.
