We're looking for a special someone who will work their magic to achieve all-round outstanding results and outcomes for our children. As our Cook, you will be the expert nutritionist for the nursery, responsible for the preparation and serving of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals. You will support the team to enable families to make healthy food choices and educate our children in the importance of balanced food choices. Working alongside our society's policies and procedures, you will ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and work to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve healthy, nutritionally balanced meals for children in the nursery.
- Act as the expert nutritionist for the nursery and educate children on balanced food choices.
- Support families in making healthy food choices and align with organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Qualifications
- Enhanced DBS check (we'll cover the costs)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP and COSHH requirements
- Experience in catering for large numbers
