Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Do you have experience working as a Deputy Manager?

We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years and has experience in a key leadership role supporting both children and staff.

This role is full time, working 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:30am-6pm.

  • We first opened our Northwood Hills branch in July 2019 and have expanded the nursery twice since opening.
  • We opened our second branch in Eastcote in June 2023.
  • We are opening our third branch in Pinner in Autumn 2025.
  • We are really passionate about our ethos and we provide in house training as well as supporting staff to complete courses to further their knowledge.

A day working with us would include

Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.

Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and supporting staff to follow these.

Leading a team, encouraging and raising practice daily.

Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room.

Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e. g., activities/planning

Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.

Working as part of the Senior Management team to contribute to staff performance management and appraisals.

Supporting the manager in daily running of the nursery.

Managing and overseeing the daily running of the nursery in the absence of the manager.

Staff delegation and deployment to ensure all rooms are working within the adult to child ratios.

Oversee display boards and the setting up of a stimulating, warm environment prepared for the children including the garden in accordance with the 7 areas of learning.

Conducting peer observations and management spot checks. Focusing on the quality of interaction and the high levels of practice.

Spending time in the classroom modelling positive practice.

Creating children's health care plans.

Mentoring and training Room Leaders.

Being involved in parent events.

Monitoring all daily and weekly checks are completed to a high standard.

What we would ask from you

A full and relevant Childcare qualification at a minimum of Level 3.

Previous experience of working in a leadership role is essential.

Having good ICT skills is essential.

Being a positive role model to your team.

Effectively lead and manage the staff team in the classrooms.

An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted and welfare requirements
