Can you help us fix the world's most broken supply chain? The fashion industry produces over 100 billion garments a year. 60% end up in landfill, not because people don't want these clothes, but because the supply chain for getting secondhand fashion from donation to resale is completely offline, manual, and broken. Fleek is fixing this. Our mission is to make secondhand the first choice. We are building the infrastructure powering the global secondhand clothing trade, through a B2B marketplace and the AI systems digitising the supply chain behind it.

Through Fleek, vintage stores, online resellers, and retail buyers source graded secondhand inventory directly from wholesalers and rag houses across multiple countries. Our key enabler is FleekSort, an AI model fine‑tuned on secondhand fashion, that can grade, price, and categorise items with just a photo, turning what has historically been an opaque and manual trade into a structured, searchable, and tradable global inventory layer. Since 2022, we have saved 9 million items from landfill and tripled in size year‑on‑year. We have raised ~$50M from a16z, Y Combinator, Burda Principal Investments, HV Capital, and others, and have recently closed our Series B. Our advisors and private investors include operators behind Depop, Shopify, and Postmates. Today, we serve thousands of resellers and retailers across the UK, Europe, and the US. With the secondhand fashion market projected to reach $350B by 2027, Fleek is building the AI‑native operational and financial backbone for secondhand commerce globally.

We are looking for people who want to build something that matters, and move fast doing it. Sound good? Keep reading.

About the Role

We are looking for a People Ops & Workspace Manager to own how Fleek runs as a company in London — the systems that pay people, onboard them, support them, and the physical space they walk into every day. This is total ownership. Deel is your system, and payroll runs flawlessly because of you. Benefits, pensions, visas, relocations, onboarding, offboarding — all of it flows through you. When someone joins Fleek, their first impression of how this company operates is shaped by what you've built. When the London team walks into the office, the energy they feel is yours. You will also own the office experience itself. Not "facilities management" — the experience. You know what a WeWork or Soho House feels like when it's done right. That energy, that intentionality, that sense that people actually want to be there. You create that here, every day.

You plan the All Hands, the offsites, the board meetings, the moments that turn a team into a team. And you do it all with AI. You are already using ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make — whatever makes things faster and smarter. You don't just use AI tools, you build processes with them. Automate the repetitive. Streamline the complex. This isn't a nice-to-have — it's how we expect this function to run. This is the role for someone who has spent a few years in people ops, office management, or hospitality, has the instinct for what "great" feels like, and wants to own a function end‑to‑end instead of being a cog in someone else's process.

What Makes You a Fleek Operator?

  • Total Owner: You don't wait to be told. You see it, you fix it, you build it. The buck stops with you, and you like it that way.
  • AI‑Native: You use AI as your default toolkit, not a curiosity. You have automated parts of your job that other people still do manually, and you have opinions about which tools are actually useful versus hype.
  • Workspace Instinct: Somewhere along the way — WeWork, Soho House, a members’ club, a startup that nailed its culture — you learned what a great workspace feels like. You can tell the difference between a room with desks and a space people want to be in.
  • Systems Thinker: You see people ops as infrastructure. Onboarding isn't a checklist, it's a system. Payroll isn't a task, it's a guarantee. You build things that scale rather than firefighting forever.
  • Commercially Wired: You understand that every hour of friction in onboarding, every payroll slip‑up, every dead vibe in the office costs the business something real. You think about leverage, not activity.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: Fleek is being built in real time. Specs are loose, the right answer often isn't written down, and the org chart shifts. You thrive there.
  • Action‑Oriented Communicator: You translate decisions into "here is what we are doing and why." Your teammates never have to guess what's happening with their offer, their visa, or their first day.
  • Startup Pace: You have worked somewhere that ships fast and where velocity is a competitive advantage, not a slogan. Hospitality, ops, or community roles in scale‑ups all count.

What You'll Do

  • Own People Ops End‑to‑End: Deel is your system and your single source of truth. Payroll runs flawlessly, every cycle, no exceptions. Benefits, pensions, visas, relocations, background checks, onboarding, offboarding — all of it sits with you.
  • Build the Onboarding Experience: Design the first two weeks every Fleek hire goes through in London. Make it the moment people decide they made the right call joining us.
  • Run the London Office: Treat the office as a product. Vendor relationships, service contracts, the small details that make the space feel intentional. You set the standard for what "Fleek HQ" feels like.
  • Plan the Moments That Matter: All Hands, offsites, board meetings, internal events, external visits. The things that turn a team into a team. You own them from idea to execution.
  • Keep People Data Clean: Reporting, headcount, contracts, compliance. Always current, always accurate. Leadership should be able to ask you anything about our people and get the right answer immediately.
  • Own IT and SaaS Provisioning: Equipment ready before day one. License management that doesn't bleed cash. The unglamorous things that, done badly, break everyone else's week.
  • Use AI to Move Faster: Automate the repetitive. Streamline the complex. Build processes that scale without adding headcount. Live the 10x‑er pitch we make to candidates.
  • Stay Ahead: Track what's working in modern people ops and workspace design. Turn good ideas into systems before they become someone else's case study.

What You Bring

  • Up to 5 years of experience in people ops, office management, community, or hospitality. You have run something end‑to‑end, not just supported someone else doing it.
  • A track record of building processes, not just executing them. You can point to things you set up that are still running.
  • Hands‑on experience using AI tools daily. Not theoretical — you have actually built workflows with them.
  • Startup or scale‑up experience, or a hospitality background where you ran a room and made it feel like something. Either works.
  • Vibes and workspace instinct — you have been somewhere that taught you what "great" feels like, and you can recreate it.
  • A bias toward action. You finish what you start and you don't need a process document to figure out the next step.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Deel or a similar global HRIS.
  • Familiarity with UK employment, visas, and pension administration.
  • A background in opening or running a great office, members’ club, or hospitality space (Soho House, Fora, WeWork, etc).
  • Experience planning offsites or company‑wide events.
  • Comfort with no‑code automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n) and AI workflow tools.

How We Work

Fleek is an in‑office company. We believe the best work happens when people are together — the quick decisions, the cross‑functional energy, the ability to solve problems in real time. This role is in the London HQ 4‑5 days a week. You are the person making that office work, so being there matters.

The Practicalities

  • Location: London HQ, Commercial St, E1 (Liverpool St / Aldgate)
  • Work model: In‑office, 5 days per week.
  • Visa sponsorship: not available for this role.
  • Stage: Post‑Series B, hyper‑growth
  • Team: 100+ across London, India, and Pakistan (~25 in London office)
  • Culture: High ownership, non‑hierarchical, fast‑moving. Founder‑led with strong opinions loosely held.

What We Offer

  • Salary: ÂŁ50,000-60,0000
  • Benefits (medical insurance, pension contribution)
  • All required tech & equipment
  • Real ownership at a $50M+ YC‑backed company. Not a cog, not a coordinator, an owner.
  • Direct access to the founding team from day one.
  • A career launchpad. Prove yourself and grow into HR leadership, operations, or wherever your strengths take you. We promote on impact, not tenure.
  • A London office full of people who actually care about what they are building.

Our Values

  • Dream Big and Disrupt Yourself: Push the most ambitious version of what you are building. Step out of your comfort zone. Nothing is out of reach.
  • Absolute Ownership: The buck stops with you. Drive initiatives to completion. Experiment, learn, persevere. The job is not done until the job is done.
  • Curiosity Leads the Way: Do not accept anything at face value. Ask questions you do not know the answer to. That is how you innovate.
  • Talk to the Customer: Deeply understand their challenges, motivations, and ambitions. Every decision starts with the customer at the centre.
  • Embrace Diversity: A global team building for a global supply chain. Bring your authentic self and embrace the diversity of everyone you encounter.
