Location: Newton Abbot, Devon

Salary: Competitive Plus Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (Overtime Available)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Additional Pay: Tool Allowance and Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and assemble bespoke laminated joinery items to a high standard
  • Operate workshop machinery including panel saws, spindle moulders, edge, CNC machines
  • Read technical drawings and interpret cutting lists
  • Liaise with managers and workshop colleagues to discuss design details and build requirements
  • Instruct fixers on the correct assembly of components
  • Monitor machinery and carry out daily maintenance checks
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Select and order appropriate materials for each project
  • Perform quality control checks on completed work
  • Occasional site work as required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (ideally within the Window and Door industry sector)
  • Skilled in laminating processes (preferred, training will be given)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand cutting lists
  • Confident in using a variety of woodworking machinery
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift and carry panels and materials safely
  • NVQ Level 3 in Bench Joinery
  • CSCS Card (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Applicants will be considered
