We are seeking an experienced, fully qualified Plumber/Heating Engineer with good communication skills and a proven track record in all aspects of plumbing and heating work, ideally in a commercial setting, to join our established multi-trades team.
You will be expected to:
- Carry out reactive plumbing maintenance, which includes repair and replacement of sanitaryware, pipework, radiators, valves and associated systems.
- Have a solution focussed approach to diagnose and troubleshoot heating and plumbing issues ensuring timely repairs to minimise disruption.
- Carry out temperature monitoring, flushing and disinfection regimes and have knowledge of legionella (L8) compliance.
- Have knowledge of UK plumbing regulations and standards.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as working with other trades.
We are based in Whitburn; however, we have a large variety of short and longer-term projects throughout Scotland, so travel to other locations should be expected. We offer a very competitive rate of pay, workwear and a fuel card. You should hold a full UK driving licence. A van can be provided after a successful trial period. We work a 40-hour week, generally over 4 days Monday to Thursday. There is no requirement to work weekends unless special circumstances arise and would be dependent on your availability. Long term contract work is available for the right candidate.
You must be CIS registered or be willing to join the Construction Industry Scheme. In addition, you should hold PVG membership or be willing to join the Scheme managed by Disclosure Scotland.
