Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children’s service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West. The senior leadership team has been transformed to ensure the right people have oversight of the organisation.

We are seeking a talented Children’s Registered Home Manager to join us on our exciting journey, based at one of our 4 or 2 bed Children’s Homes in Preston. Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs; to this end we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person.

Required minimum criteria:

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting dealing with children with complex needs at senior level (You could be an outstanding Deputy Manager looking for progression)
  • Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent

Desired criteria:

  • Level 5 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or willing to work towards
  • Previous Ofsted rating of GOOD or Outstanding
