Initial 3-month contract (potential extension) – Tech/SaaS Rewards experience essential – Fully Remote
What will I be doing? In this role, you'll be leading Rewards & Benefits for one of Europe's most exciting fintech scale-ups, helping to drive critical reward initiatives during a period of change and growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance strategic thinking with operational delivery. You'll be stepping into an evolving environment, bringing structure where needed whilst remaining comfortable with ambiguity, change and pace. Your expertise, agility, professionalism, dedication, 'can do' attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done will be what makes you successful in this role.
Typical activities include:
- Leading the Rewards & Benefits function on an interim basis, providing guidance and direction during a period of leave cover
- Managing and developing a team of 3 direct reports and 1 indirect report, creating alignment and ensuring priorities are delivered effectively
- Driving equal pay and pay transparency initiatives in line with evolving European regulations
- Updating and maintaining salary frameworks and compensation structures across multiple entities and geographies
- Partnering with senior leaders and People stakeholders to influence reward strategy and support key business decisions
- Managing equity and share-related communications, including updates to share platforms and reward programmes
- Harmonising benefits programmes across countries as new entities are added to the organisation
- Leading reward-related projects from strategy through implementation, ensuring practical and sustainable outcomes
- Using internal and external market data to provide insight and recommendations on compensation and benefits trends
- Supporting change management initiatives and ensuring a smooth transition at the conclusion of the assignment
Role Requirements:
- Tech or SaaS industry experience is essential
- Proven experience leading Rewards & Benefits functions within fast-paced, scaling organisations
- Demonstrable success developing and implementing reward strategies and programmes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving and sometimes unstructured environments
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams and stakeholders
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to unite teams, share expertise and influence decision-making
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to build, improve and execute rather than solely operate at a strategic level
- Experience navigating international compensation, benefits and compliance requirements
- Ability to quickly assess priorities, implement change and deliver results in an interim capacity
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience within high-growth technology, SaaS or fintech businesses
- Strong understanding of compensation, benefits, pay transparency and equity programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
- Experience leading through change and delivering outcomes in complex environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Resilience and adaptability in fast-moving environments where priorities can change quickly
- Self-motivated approach with a bias towards action and delivery
- Teamwork – little room in a growing company for 'lone wolves' and in this role the ability to work closely with stakeholders, team members and peers across the organisation will be key
