We're recruiting on behalf of a growing passive fire protection contractor that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality fire safety projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a financially stable business that combines the agility of a specialist contractor with the backing of a wider construction group.
The business delivers passive fire protection projects across healthcare, education, commercial, residential and public sector environments, with a particularly strong presence within NHS and university estates in the Northwest.
Reporting into the commercial team, you'll be responsible for producing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for a range of passive fire protection projects, primarily covering fire stopping and fire door installation and remediation works. Project values typically range from £10,000 through to £500,000, with a varied workload that includes compliance-led refurbishment programmes, maintenance works and planned upgrades.
- Producing detailed estimates for fire stopping and fire door projects
- Building estimates using internal cost models and applying commercial pricing strategies
- Liaising with operational and commercial teams to ensure estimates reflect delivery capability
- Monitoring market trends and pricing within the passive fire protection sector
We're looking for someone with previous estimating experience within passive fire protection who can confidently price both fire stopping and fire door works:
- Previous experience estimating both fire stopping and fire door projects
- Strong technical understanding of passive fire protection systems and products
- Knowledge of fire door manufacturers and fire stopping materials
- A good understanding of how passive fire projects are delivered on site
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
