The predicted salary is between 38000 - 38000 £ per year.

Responsible for smooth and efficient day to day running of the warehouse, managing finished stock and efficient delivery of orders to customers, within budgeted labour cost. This is a permanent position, working 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Salary £38,000 dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Operations: Lead and provide direction to all warehouse staff and customer service team on all matters relating to Logistics/Export/Customs requirements. Oversee effective recruitment and retention of staff. Responsible for overseeing the PDR process within the warehouse and anticipate/identify training and development needs. Ensure quality of work audits are in place and that staff training is implemented where required. Conduct disciplinary and attendance management interviews in conjunction with HR. Facilitate and direct daily meetings within department to ensure plans and requirements are clearly communicated. Work closely with the warehouse team to anticipate and resolve any problems regarding timescales efficiently. Review work throughput regularly and implement improvements to department processes. Collect, maintain and report performance metrics at weekly and monthly levels. Be the point of contact for carriers to ensure consistency and reliability of service. Ensure adherence to expected standards of housekeeping.
  • Quality: Liaise with other areas of the business regarding quality issues and improvements to processes/new initiatives. Ensure quality standards and targets are achieved. Actively work to reduce the cost of quality.
  • Consumables & Customer Orders: Control stock of all labels/tickets/bags and liaise with CS team on all PL requirements. Monitor delivery performance and minimise any internal lateness. Monitor and reduce shipping costs where possible.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge or experience in:

  • Using Jomar, or a similar operating system, specifically in shipping/order entry.
  • Running and managing a warehouse, stockroom or similar environment.
  • Managing wholesale and retail customer shipping requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of Customs/Export rules & requirements.
