We are looking for Cutting Operatives to join our growing team in Hawick to cut, mark and prepare a wide variety of garments and accessories.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours a week on dayshift.

Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour, dependant on experience.

Training will be provided, but if you have experience in this role or something similar, your expertise will be highly valued and welcomed.

About the Role

  • Selecting bundles of work and checking the contents referring to precise cutting specification and select appropriate template and measurements for the item.
  • Lay out the item on the table and mark any required areas for cutting as specified.
  • Cutting out a shape as marked and ensuring it is centred.
  • Where required, cut trimmings (e.g. pockets, straps).
  • Folding garments together with any trimmings and put aside.
  • Mark details on worksheet and attach self-stick label to progress sheet.
