We are seeking a multi-skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our electrical systems and equipment while having a basic mechanical knowledge.
You will carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement projects across our facilities. We are looking for a hardworking, honest and flexible individual to aid in the company’s needs.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working shifts on a rotational basis (day and back shift). Salary starting from £40,000 per annum, dependant on experience.
About the Role
- Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime and allow production to be streamlined.
- Communicate and work with other departments throughout the site to ensure machines and equipment are maintained to a high standard and in safe operational use.
- Install, maintain, and test electrical systems in accordance with regulations and safety standards.
- Work closely with our other electrical technicians and mechanical engineers to resolve technical problems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records on the company’s internal CMMS software.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
About you
- Recognised electrical qualification e.g., SVQ, 18th Edition.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of PLCs and Drive faults and systems.
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
- Experienced working with motor systems.
- Basic fault finding on mechanical systems.
