Are you passionate about making pets a priority? Here at CVS, so are we! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at The Johnston Veterinary Clinic.
Location: The Johnston Veterinary Clinic, Wellingborough
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 26.2
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 2.30pm to 7.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8am - 12.30pm
About The Johnston Veterinary Clinic
The successful candidate will be working with an experienced team of 3 Vets with interests in cardiology, internal medicine and dermatology. The practice has a well-established team of 4 RVNs supporting 2 SVNs and 2 receptionists. Johnston also have a visiting Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery.

About the role
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we\'re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist
- Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
